Peggy Groves Knaack
There’s just something about a blank sheet of paper or a start up business or project. It’s the opportunity to create something from scratch that’s a happy challenge for me. I’ve always been drawn to open spaces, architecture and using white space to elevate a design layout. So, I studied interior design at Miami University and worked at an architecture firm in Philadelphia after college until my path changed to graphic design.
To learn the process, logic and skills, I studied at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. After years of designing logos, branding and marketing materials, I’ve realized my design superpower is in specialty publications. From the early days creating annual reports for a nonprofit and catalogs and look books in high-end fashion and residential development, I’ve found that starting with a blank canvas and putting all of the pieces together to make something impactful is one of my strongest passions.
I still love working on logos, business cards and ads, but there’s just something about a publication. Call me old school, but printed publications are timeless. New publications (both online and in print) seem to continue showing up despite all of the advances in technology and AI. For more than 30 years, I’ve partnered with clients to bring their stories to life by providing well-suited, visually-strong designs combined with technical, print-ready precision.
If you have a story or idea that you want to bring to life, let’s collaborate on your next publication.
